Tech discourse tends to swing between extremes. We’re either on the precipice of utopia or steadily approaching the apocalypse. Either AI is going to solve all our problems, or it’s going to take away your job and/or soul. Social media is creating more community, or we’re turning into zombies who can’t communicate face to face.

It’s just a tool. How we wield it is up to us. If you’re coming at it from the right angle, the future still looks pretty exciting. From algorithms that help creatives break through social barriers to AI that replicates thought (but doesn’t think for you), there’s plenty to be hopeful about. Let’s take a moment to embrace the possibility. Tech’s future isn’t written in the stars.
