Welcome back to Marginalia—our monthly newsletter designed to deliver a fresh dose of writing, branding, and creative inspiration into your routine. This is where we gush, gripe, and muse about whatever’s bubbling up in branding culture.
In July, we’re thinking about texture. The touchpoints that add dimension, interest, and depth to our work and lives. In writing, not every word has to carry the weight of shaping meaning or adding clarity. Some exist to adorn the idea’s core — adding flair, rhythm, or color. Without that texture, the message might still land, but the feeling wouldn’t be as palpable. Often, it’s the textural pieces that make it all worth it in the end.
Life works the same way. Not everything has to fit neatly into a practical narrative. Sometimes random bits or delightful distractions can add romance to an otherwise normal day. The small stuff may feel like background noise, but is it really?
Anything can be a touchpoint. And that’s the beauty in it.
